How to Audit Your Subscriptions in 15 Minutes

The 15-Minute Subscription Audit

Most people have no idea how many subscriptions they're paying for. Studies show the average person underestimates their subscription spending by 2.5x. Let's fix that.

Step 1: Check Your Bank Statements (5 min)

Pull up the last 3 months of your bank and credit card statements. Look for:

  • Monthly recurring charges (same amount, same day)
  • Annual charges you might have forgotten
  • Free trials that converted to paid

Step 2: Check Your App Store (3 min)

Both iOS and Android have a subscription management page:

  • iOS: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions
  • Android: Play Store → Payments & subscriptions

You'd be surprised what's lurking there.

Step 3: Log Everything in Blood Drain (5 min)

Open Blood Drain and add each subscription you found. The app will:

  • Calculate your total monthly drain
  • Show your Blood Gauge intensity level
  • Categorize your spending

Step 4: Kill the Zombies (2 min)

Look at each subscription and ask: "Did I use this in the last 30 days?"

If the answer is no, it's time to stake it. Watch it join the Graveyard and see your savings grow.

The Result

Most people find 3-5 subscriptions they forgot about during their first audit. That's typically $50-100/month back in your pocket.

Your Blood Gauge will thank you.
